Ballinure NS October Newsletter ��

October was a wonderfully busy and exciting month in Ballinure NS, filled

with learning, laughter and lots of fun!

Senior Room Adventures

Our Senior Room pupils had a fantastic trip to Coláiste Mhuire, Thurles to

see their brilliant performance of 'Grease'. The show was absolutely

fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!

They also visited Scoil Ruáin, Killenaule for a taster day, where they got a

great insight into post-primary life. Later in the month, our seniors had

another enjoyable taster day in Ballingarry Secondary School, sampling a

variety of subjects and activities. These visits really helped our pupils

experience what lies ahead in secondary school.

Maths Week Madness

Throughout the school, children took part in a wide range of fun and

challenging activities for Maths Week. From maths trails and puzzles to

games and problem-solving tasks, there was something for everyone. Great

teamwork and creative thinking were on show all week!

Hurling Blitz in Ballysloe

The whole school travelled to Ballysloe NS for a friendly hurling blitz. It was

a fantastic day of sport, fun and friendship. Our pupils played brilliantly and

showed great sportsmanship throughout the event.

October Assembly

We rounded off the month with a wonderful whole-school assembly. Many

pupils received awards for their efforts and achievements across different

areas, and we proudly introduced a new award for excellent attendance — a

great incentive to keep up that super school spirit!

Hallowe’en Hooley & Pumpkin Night

We hosted a Pumpkin Carving Night, and it was fantastic to see every pupil

attend with one or two family members. The creativity was incredible —

congratulations to Oscar, Rubie and Thea, whose fabulous pumpkin designs

were chosen as winners!

To finish October in style, we held our Hallowe’en Hooley with traditional

games, a spooky movie and lots of treats!

We wish all our pupils, staff and families a safe and happy midterm break.

Enjoy the rest, and we’ll see everyone back, refreshed and ready for a busy

November ahead!
