December 2025 Newsletter

As December arrived, Ballinure NS was wrapped in a wonderful sense of excitement, kindness and Christmas cheer. It has been a truly magical month for our school community.

We began the festive season in the most special way with a visit from Santa himself, who arrived in style on his sleigh! Santa reminded us that the children of Ballinure NS are among the very best children in Ireland, and he very kindly brought selection boxes for everyone. There were smiles all around and memories made that will last a lifetime.

The Senior Room enjoyed a fantastic outing to the Christmas Market in Scoil Ruáin, where they soaked up the festive atmosphere and enjoyed a lovely day out together. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas beyond our school walls.

Throughout the month, the sound of singing, acting and laughter filled the school as pupils practised tirelessly for our Christmas performances. Our productions of “Ralph the Reindeer,” “The 12 Days of Christmas,” and “The Grinch” were an absolute roaring success. Every child shone on stage, and we are so proud of the confidence, teamwork and joy they displayed. Thank you to everyone who supported the children and helped make these performances so special.

We now look forward to rounding off the festive season with our much-anticipated Ballinure NS Bingo on December 28th. With a huge jackpot and fabulous prizes, it promises to be a great night for the whole community, and we can’t wait to see you there.

As we close for the holidays, we would like to thank our pupils, families and wider community for your continued support throughout the year. We wish everyone a very happy, peaceful and joyful Christmas, and we look forward to welcoming you all back in the New Year.
