Ballinure National School Newsletter – March 2026
As we welcome the brighter days of spring, March has been a wonderfully busy and joyful month here in Ballinure NS. Our school community continues to grow and thrive, and it has been fantastic to see such enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork from all our pupils.
Daffodil Day
We were proud to support Daffodil Day this year, raising much-needed funds for cancer care. The school was a sea of yellow as pupils and staff dressed up to show their support. Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to this very worthy cause.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
We had a truly fantastic Seachtain na Gaeilge, celebrating our language and culture with great energy and fun. Highlights included a lively Seó Faisin, a wonderful céilí where everyone got involved in dancing, and a beautiful ceolchoirm showcasing our musical talents. Our Lá Glas was full of colour and spirit, and we were especially proud to host an interschools tráth na gceist in our fabulous, spacious school hall. It was a brilliant occasion, and our pupils represented the school with pride.
Open Day – March 21st 2026
We were delighted to welcome families to our Open Day for incoming Junior Infants and our new Montessori School, The Den at Ballinure NS. It was a hugely successful day, full of excitement and positivity. It was wonderful to meet so many new families and to showcase all that Ballinure NS has to offer. We look forward to welcoming our new pupils in the months ahead.
Sensory Room
We are thrilled to share that our new sensory room is now up and running. This beautiful space is already making a big difference for our pupils, providing a calm and supportive environment for those with sensory needs. We are very grateful to everyone who helped make this possible.
Easter Activities
As Easter approaches, our classrooms have been filled with colour and creativity. The children have been busy creating lovely Easter art, and great fun was had during our Easter Egg Hunt, which brought lots of smiles and excitement throughout the school.
As always, thank you to our wonderful staff, pupils and parents for making Ballinure NS such a special place. We wish everyone a happy and restful Easter break.
Warm regards,
Ballinure NS
