Ballinure NS – September Newsletter 2025
A Warm Welcome Back!
We are delighted to be back for another exciting school year here at Ballinure NS. A very
special welcome to our new Junior Infants – Hughie, Everly and Philomena – who have
settled in so well already. We are also thrilled to welcome our new Deputy Principal, Ms.
Mairead Saunders, to the team. We are very lucky to have her with us.
Harvest Time
September brought plenty of outdoor learning as we harvested our own carrots and
potatoes from the school garden. The children loved digging, picking, and tasting the fruits
of their hard work!
Ballinure NS Turns 80!
The highlight of the month was our 80th birthday celebration on Friday, September 26th.
Our hall was full to the brim with past pupils, teachers, parents, and community members.
The children performed singing and dancing, and we shared stories about the history of
Ballinure NS. We finished the day with sandwiches, tea, coffee, cake and a rousing chorus of
Happy Birthday to our wonderful school. It was truly a day to remember – thank you to
everyone who joined us.
Dancing with Aoife
We were delighted to have weekly dance classes with Aoife from OYT Dance Company in
Clonmel. The children learned modern dance and even tried their hand at line dancing.
Every class was full of music, movement and smiles!
